Dialektika Reformasi Sistem Pendidikan di Era Turki Modern

This article deals with the reformation of education system in a modern Ottoman era which started since Mahmud II periods untill democratic party period. Dialogue about an education reformation in a modern Ottoman era always takes place in policy of a hegemony. In Tanzimat period, the education reformation is based on western liberalism with modernization issue in science and technology. In Young Ottoman period, Islam is regarded as part of Ottoman nationality. Therefore, Islamic and Arabic must be into national curriculum. The highest reformation of education system is in Attaturk period that is radically directed to European education system, both in institution and curriculum. Then, in democratic party period through democratic education system that permites Islam and Arabic are taught at school dan university.
