Abstract
Speaking is one of the skills that must be mastered and definitely must beable to be practiced in the field with other people as the interlocutor. The students speaking skill at the eight grade of MTSN 1 Palu is still low, especially in pronunciation and vocabulary. Therefore there should be some of method to overcome the problems which is the use of role play method in teaching speaking
skill.
