Abstract
The goal of this research is to find out how the differences bebtween gender differences and English learning motivation of the tenth grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan. The researcher collected the data from questionnaire,
documentation, and interview. The researcher analized the data through percentage of questionnaire, and using Correlation Product Moment, Point�Biserial correlation SPSS 29.0. This research involved 40 students, 20 females and
20 males of the tenth grade students which purposive sampling technique that choose the students based on the purposive choose based on the gender from each major. The findings in this research are; there there is no one students have low motivation, 14 (35%) students have moderate motivation, 25 (62.5%) students have high motivation, and 1 (20%) students have very high motivation. The result from SPSS shows that there is a correlation between gender differences and English learning motivation and the significance value was 0.001. The correlation
was enough correlation with 0.589 pearson correlation. Based on the interview the students have 50% integrative motivation and 50% instrumental motivation. Based on the questionnaire showed that the students have more integrative
motivation than instrumental motivation.
