Abstract
This paper discusses the concept of Islam towards women. It is argued that Islam has raised the dignity of women, giving them the same rights as men although the proportion is still different in some ways. However, in terms of education, women are given the same rights as men. Women play an important role in the education and lives of future generation in their family or community. They are also the pillar of the country, if they are good, then the state will be solid; otherwise, if they are depraved, then the state will collapse. Women's role to establish the children who have good characters are highly important, since the goodness and badness of a nation is highly dependent on this generation, while the good and bad of a generation is highly dependent on the good and bad of a mother (female). Therefore, Islam pays serious attention to this kind of female education.
