PROFESI KEGURUAN DAN IMPLIKASINYA BAGI PROFESIONALISME GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (Telaah tentang Implementasi Kompetensi Guru Menurut UU RI No.14 Tahun 2005 dalam Pembelajaran Agama Islam)

This article is intended to study about profession of the islamic religioneducation teacher (guru PAI) in carrying out the teaching profession of the islamic
religion subjects. According to the Republic Indonesian Law Number 14 year 2005about Teacher and Lecturer (UU RI No. 14 Tahun 2005 tentang Guru dan Dosen),there are four comptencies which must be had by every teacher in doing the teachingprofession, included the islamic religion education teacher, such as; competency ofknowledge, competency of person, competency of socialism, and competency of
professionalism. So, four competencies above will be indication that a teacher of the islamic religion education can be said as the professional teacher in its the teaching
profession. Practically, these four competencies of the islamic religion education teacher are described in its design’s learning program, learning process, and
evaluating process of the islamic religion subjects which will give to learners.
