Abstract

This Tesis deals with the "Wafa Method in Teaching Tahsin Reading the Koran at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School of Bina Insan Palu". The main problems that are studied in this thesis are. 1. How is the implementation of the Wafa method in teaching Alquran recitation at SD Bina Insan Palu Integrated Islamic School? 2. What are the results of the Wafa method in teaching Alquran recitation at SD Bina Insan Palu Integrated Islamic School? and 3. What are the teacher's obstacles in applying the Wafa method in teaching and learning Alquran
recitation at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School Bina Insan Palu? This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type, which is a study that displays the results of field data in accordance with the theory in the
discussion chapter. The data in this study were processed through observation, interviews and documentation. Furthermore, the results of the data were then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation and data verification.The research results show that Alquran learning planning through the Wafamethod includes syllabus and learning implementation plans (RPP), learning
objectives, learning materials, learning media, and evaluation.The process of the Wafa method in learning the Alquran uses quantum teaching (TANDUR) learning, namely grow, experience, name, demonstrate, repeat, and celebrate. However, there are also those who use the 5P method which
includes opening, experience, teaching, assessment, and closing. The results of teaching tahsin in reading the Alquran for students through the Wafa method at Bina Insan Palu Integrated Islamic Elementary School are that
students find it easier to recognize letters, students are able to read the Alquran well, students are able to read the Alquran using hijaz tones and students are also
able write cursive letters using khat ottoman.
The obstacle faced in the implementation of the Wafa method is that there is insufficient space because the size of the school is not too wide when studying tahsin, where during tahsin learning hours it requires many places or locations
within the school. Apart from being constrained by the not-so-wide area, other obstacles also come from the human resources (SDM) at the school, out of 35 active teaching staff, only 11 educators have graduated from the Wafa program's munaqosyah Alquran program.
